Two (2) SMT lines complete with RoHS capabilities have been added to bolster the company’s growth plans for its southern-most operation. Tecate is now capable of placing 0201, BGA, and Micro-BGA packages, and has X-ray inspection capability. A precision conformal coating line has also been added in order to provide a new level of service for its customers. “We’re working hard for our customers, and this new capacity and capability level will allow us to compete even more aggressively to service business that is a very competitive alternative to Chinese production choices,” said Pirouz Pourhashemi, GM of the Mexico (MEC Southwest) operation. MEC, The Milwaukee Electronics Corporation, designs and manufactures custom circuit board assemblies for the medical, transportation, military, HVAC and a variety of other industries.
