Hardened Electronics Support
Challenge: A manufacturer of commercial and residential heating systems needed a vertically integrated EMS partner to provide hardened electronics for use in their residential zone control valves.
Solution: MEC worked with the customer to package the electronics in an environmentally protected envelope that could withstand water intrusion. MEC manufacturers the electronic control, heat-stakes the subassembly and completes the process by potting the final assembly.
Results: MEC produces 75,000 control units a year that are designed and manufactured for high reliability, and are aesthetically pleasing for high end residential applications.
