MEC’s phased development process gives you a complete up-front view of your product development program. We begin every project with a planning and specification development stage that clearly defines all necessary steps, when they’re due, and what you’ll need to contribute or approve as the project moves ahead. As the project advances, MEC uses a “phased gate” process. We review each new step with you, and we only begin work when you’re satisfied that the design and manufacturing process will yield the product performance you want. Product Development
Phased Development and Freeze Gate Process 
focuses on product features, not documents. The development team along with key suppliers must be capable of defining what features need to be fixed and when. Process evolvement incorporates freeze gates in the development timeline. The freeze gates need to be along the critical path and have a scope that flexes with the scope of the project.
